When Diane Abbott, MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington, claimed that whites “love playing divide and rule,” London Metropolitan officers were urged to charge her with racial harassment for the outburst in a Twitter message last week.
Police in Hackney spoke to Crown Prosecution Service lawyers and decided her comment must be taken in context with other tweets!
A Met spokesman said last night: “We do not believe an offence has been committed.”
We would like to advise the Crown Prosecution Service lawyers to take the comments in context with other draconian charges levelled against white people in the last few months and act accordingly with Abbott!
So there we have it, you can get away with offensive racial slur and insults if you are black, a member of the Labour Party or preferably both, so the likes of Abbott can say whatever she wants!!!!
