GET behind our lads. The message from the British National Party is clear!

The British National Party, long time campaigners for repatriation of Our Boys, are upping their campaign as yet another Governing Party decides to invade yet another OIL RICH Country.

The 2nd Scots return!

They fully support the march and support on May 3rd and ask all townsfolk to get behind Our Brave Boys.

Ayrshire troops will march through Ayr town centre days after they return from a six month tour of Afghanistan.

Proud mum Marilyn Porter wants the whole town to show their support.

Her son Jamie, 29, will be among the 500 2SCOTS taking part in the emotional march, expected to be on Tuesday, May 3.

Marilyn said: “At the last parade in 2008, only one shop dressed up their shop front for the parade.

“The people who turned up were great but I think we are quite reserved here in Ayr.

“You see other homecoming parades on the television and everyone gets right into it by waving banners and having Union Jack hanging out their windows.”

No One Attacks Me with Impunity

And she explained why the community support is a big deal.

Marilyn continued: “I want to encourage people to really let their hair down.

“This has been a particularly hard tour for the lads, although they had a fatality last time, they have had some bad casualties this time around.

“It’s been a long, hard tour. This parade will mean a lot to them.”

Prestwick man Jamie has been in the army for 10 years and this is his second tour of Afghanistan.

It’s not been an easy time for the Lance Corporal, he left for the war zone just a few weeks after his beloved grandfather died.

While he has been out there, his gran has suffered a heart attack and he’s missed his mum’s 50th birthday.

Marilyn said: “It’s only really me and him in our house so we’re very close.

“I’ll be making a really big deal of him coming home. As will his Aunty Suzzette and the dog Coopie is daft for Jamie.”

Marilyn has also enlisted the help of her MSP John Scott to help with the campaign.

He said: “Our servicemen are the bravest of the brave and we cannot do enough to support and recognise that.

“Our soldiers will be turned out in their finest and I hope the town will show itself off in recognition of the bravery and sacrifice of these men and women.”

Lynne Thomson is the owner of 2s Company hairdressers, who were the only business to dress up their shop at the 2008 parade.

She said: “I was really surprised that nobody else in the High Street bothered last time.

“We had banners, Union Jacks and Scottish flags draped out the windows and we’ll do the same again this year.

“The lads need our support. Everybody knows somebody in the armed forces and they all need to know we’re right behind them.

“I hope everyone will get behind them this time.”
